Cheska Knable Receives Dick Sheridan Basketball Scholarship

Sheree Sheridan recently awarded the Dick Sheridan Basketball Scholarship to Cheska Knable, a graduating senior at Broadfording Christian Academy. Ms. Sheridan created this scholarship at the Community Foundation of Washington County MD to honor her husband and his commitment to the school. This scholarship awards students graduating from Broadfording, pursuing a post-secondary education at an accredited institution while also demonstrating hard work and dedication on the basketball court, in the classroom and in their Christian faith. Recipients must embody Dick’s signature phrase, “All heart, all hustle, all the time.” Cheska was salutatorian of her class, a member of the National Honor Society and played both volleyball and basketball. She plans to attend Hagerstown Community College in the fall and play basketball there as she pursues a degree in the medical field.
