Grants
The investments from our funds create income that offer support to local nonprofits through the grant-making process. These grants allow us to meet current community needs and prepare for the future.
Our grants support a wide-range of qualified nonprofit organizations and causes, primarily in Washington County, Maryland. Our grant making objectives include:
Supporting creative, focused, results-oriented responses to existing or emerging community challenges
Rewarding efforts that recognize and build on community strengths and assets
Improving the effectiveness and build the capacity of Washington County’s nonprofit organizations
Facilitating cooperation and collaboration among community organizations
Our largest grant-making programs are the following:
Responsive Grants, available thanks to our Community Funds
We also facilitate the charitable goals of individual donors through donor-advised funds and scholarships.
