Hockey Teams Hold Fundraiser Game for Peyton’s Promise Fund

The Western MD Blueliners and the Baltimore City Fire Department Hockey Teams will hold a charity hockey game on January 6 at 7:00 PM at the Hagerstown Ice & Sports Complex with all donations going towards Peyton’s Promise Fund. Josh and Casey Swope created Peyton’s Promise Fund at the Community Foundation of Washington County MD to memorialize Josh’s daughter, Peyton, who passed away in June. Peyton was a student at Northern Middle School. She was a gifted musician and played the clarinet in both the school band and jazz band. The Fund will provide an annual grant to a student for a musical instrument or instrumental needs in Washington County Public Schools.For more information on the charity hockey game, please contact Josh Stears at (240) 674-7677.
