Primary logo and colors for Community Foundation of Washington County, released 11/15/23
Washington County, November 15, 2023 – The Community Foundation of Washington County (CFWC) proudly announces the conclusion of its strategic design initiative and its launch of a reinvisioned brand identity. Released on November 15th, 2023, the new logo upholds the mission and vision of the organization, while spearheading a new strategy to inspire philanthropy for the benefit of Washington County.“Since 1997 CFWC has been focused on working with donors to meet their charitable intent and organizations to provide support for the programs and services they provide. With this new strategic plan we are committed to continuing our mission, growing and collaborating with the community to provide transformational support in Washington County and our new rebrand and logo is one step in the process,” says President/CEO, Stacey Crawford.The Strategic Design, initiated in October 2022 with partners Ekstrom Alley Clontz & Associates, has refocused the goal of CFWC to serve the community as a central hub for philanthropy, a catalyst for nonprofit initiatives, and a trusted brand synonymous with donor engagement, grant-making, and leadership. Set into motion in July 2023, the operations of CFWC already reflect the new strategic design.
The brand redesign, begun in July 2023, serves as a visual representation of the long-standing relationship CFWC develops with the community and its donors. The new colors, fonts, and graphics are approachable yet refined, responsive yet future-focused and can resonate with a wide array of audiences, such as local nonprofit partners, future student scholarship recipients, and donors with donations of all sizes. Thanks to the collaboration with local partners, Wimbly Stoke and Origin Design Collective, the design draws inspiration from the nostalgic imagery of dandelion bristles, symbolizing a community working together to sow seeds that endure beyond the present moment.This fresh identity seamlessly aligns with the Foundation's core mission, to inspire, grow and steward philanthropy for the benefit of Washington County, while evoking a sense of nostalgia and hope. The creative effort provides CFWC with practical and versatile brand assets, including a strategy deck, client profiles, a brand identity & logo suite, a color palette, a type system, brand guidelines, stationery, social graphics, and an upcoming website.
