September 11th National Memorial Trail Alliance Development Fund Created

A new agency fund has been created here at the Community Foundation. The September 11th National Memorial Trail Alliance Development Fund will support the charitable interests of The September 11th National Memorial Trail Alliance, a dynamic 1,300-mile multipurpose trail connecting the three national 9/11 memorials. This trail provides unparalleled opportunities for exploration, reflection, education, activity, and celebration.With more than 50% of the route being off-road, travelers have the opportunity to connect with communities and their historic, industrial, and cultural points of interest, from historical parks to wildlife refuges and many memorials.For some, traveling the 9/11 National Memorial Trail will be a pilgrimage or a grand adventure. For others, it will be a family stroll one afternoon. For everyone, it will be a journey of hope and remembrance, honoring the resilience and perseverance we have as Americans.
