Three Hancock Nonprofit Organizations Receive Funds

The Community Foundation of Washington County distributed funds to three Hancock nonprofit organizations at a recent Rotary Club meeting. Distributions were made from funds celebrating past People’s Choice Award winners from this community. Mayor Dan Murphy received three checks totaling close to $1,000 to benefit the following organizations: the Hancock Historical Society chosen by Robert McCusker in 2006, the Hancock Boy Scouts designated by Daniel Fleming in 2007 and the Hancock Christmas for Others program selected by Dan and Debbie Murphy in 2010. All of the winners also belonged to the Hancock Rotary Club.
