Tyler "TJ" Josenhans Athletic Scholarship Fund Established
The family of Tyler “TJ” Josenhans has established the Tyler “TJ” Josenhans Athletic Scholarship. This fund, already growing from the generous support of the Clear Spring Blazer community and beyond, is a way to ensure TJ’s passion for helping others continues.
“His biggest dream and goal was to earn a scholarship, no matter how big or small, to attend college and continue his athletic ability,” said his parents. “He would always step up and help anyone who needed help and we feel this is a way to carry on his legacy.”
Born in 2005, Tyler had a big love for the sport of baseball, making it to state finals in Little League for WV at the age of 11. He also attended the Pony League World Series at the age of 14, and his sophomore year of high school his baseball team won the Class 1A Baseball Championship. In his sophomore year of high school, he also decided to do track for the first time, winning a Class 1A first place title for indoor high jump and Class 1A third place title for outdoor high jump. He was still undecided on which college he wanted to attend and what he wanted to study, but he was leaning towards sports medicine. Family members stress that he would want nothing more than for this scholarship to help others achieve their athletic and/or academic goals in life.
To contribute to this fund, a check could be made out to “Community Foundation of Washington County” with “Tyler TJ Josenhans Athletic Scholarship” written in the memo section, and mailed to Community Foundation of Washington County, 37 S.
