Washington County Gives Registration Starts January 27

Registration for Washington County Gives 2020 starts January 27 for any nonprofit organization (other than a church, mosque, temple or private foundation) in Washington County, MD, with a 501(c)(3) IRS determination letter. The Community Foundation of Washington County MD will host the eighth annual Washington County Gives on May 5, 2020 from midnight to midnight. This 24-hour online fundraiser gives local nonprofits an opportunity to raise unrestricted dollars for their organization as well as receive pro-rated matching funds and prize money.Registration runs January 27-February 28, 2020. To register, nonprofit organizations must complete an online registration form at www.washingtoncountygives.org, a Memorandum of Understanding and pay their registration fee via check or credit card by February 28, 2020. Nonprofit organizations with paid staff have a $300 registration fee and organizations with volunteer staff have a $65 registration fee. The Community Foundation will hold an early bird registration giving two nonprofit organizations the chance to win back their registration fee if they sign-up and complete all forms and payment by February 3, 2020.Community Foundation’s Director of Communications Ally Sirbaugh said, “Washington County Gives is such an exciting event that helps our nonprofit community not only receive unrestricted funds, but also creates more awareness for the participating nonprofits and all the good work they do here.
