Washington County Technical High School Awards CFWC Scholarships

Washington County Technical High School presented the following Community Foundation of Washington County MD scholarships:

• Quinn Alec Hoover Legacy Scholarship of $1,000 to Lauren Powell.
• Lawrence and Genevieve Martin Scholarship of $300 to Logan Nally.
• Karim Thomas Ziyad Memorial Engineering Scholarship of $300 to Ean Mann. Lauren Powell participated in the youth group at Paramount Baptist Church, the Student Government Association, dance and track & field. She also works two jobs and does clinical rotations at Fahrney-Keedy Home & Village. Lauren graduated from Tech High as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and will go to Shepherd University in the fall to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.

Logan Nally played soccer for Williamsport High School, Williamsport Youth Soccer and HAYSL. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church youth group and went on two mission trips. Logan has enrolled at the Barr Construction Institute to pursue a career in electrical construction.Ean Mann played varsity football and ran varsity indoor and outdoor track and field. He was a member of the National Technical Honor Society and volunteered at Rockland Woods Elementary School. He will go to Elizabethtown College and major in engineering.
